Surface Water & Treatment System (SWATS) Sludge Hauling & Disposal Services
SCOPE OF WORK: The Authority (AUTHORITY) will be accepting sealed Bids from
qualified contractors to furnish all labor and equipment necessary for the hauling and disposal of water
treatment plant lime sludge in accordance with all applicable State and Federal regulations. Lime
sludge is a by-product from the water softening process. The lime sludge is primarily composed of
calcium carbonate, small amounts of soda ash and varying amounts of other constituents.
