The James A. Haley Veterans Hospital (JAHVH) is conducting market research to find qualified vendors that can provide the Microbiology Cost Per Test Program which includes equipment, reagents, quality control material, service, training, consumables and ancillary items required to produce a patient result and keep equipment in optimum condition. See attached draft Statement of Need.
The JAHVH is not seeking quotes, and will not accept unsolicited quotes. Vendors are advised that the United States (U.S.) Government will not pay for any information or administrative cost incurred in response to this sources sought (SS). All costs associated with responding to this SS will be solely at the responding party s expense. Please be advised that all submissions become Government property and will not be returned. The Government may use the responses to this SS for information and planning purposes. Not responding to this SS does not preclude participation in any future solicitations. Responses to this notice are not quotes and cannot be accepted by the U.S. Government to form a binding contract. It is the responsibility of the interested parties to monitor the Federal Business Opportunities (https://www.fbo.gov/ ) site for additional information pertaining to this SS.
This SS is to obtain information regarding the availability and capability of qualified Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB),Veteran-Owned Small Business (VOSB), Small business and Large Business their size classification relative to the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code 325413.
Gray market items are Original Equipment Manufacturer s (OEM) goods sold through unauthorized channels in direct competition with authorized distributors. This procurement is for new OEM medical supplies, medical equipment and/or services contracts for maintenance of medical equipment (i.e. replacement parts) for VA Medical Centers.B No remanufactures or gray market items will be acceptable.

Response to this notice is due no later than 6 March 2018.

The James A. Haley Veterans Hospital is hosting an Industry Day to discuss the upcoming requirement for Microbiology Cost Per Test Program. The primary objective is to gain a mutual understanding of what large and small businesses can provide and what the Agency can expect from businesses in regards to Bacterial/Mycobacterial identification and susceptibility instrument(s), reagents, and required disposables The secondary objective is to refine an upcoming release of a Request for Quote (RFQ). Networking between vendors is highly encouraged.
