Supplemental Security Income (SSI) External Advocate Services
The contract service includes conducting community outreach and education concerning managed care for those members of the Wisconsin Medicaid Program who are also eligible for federal Supplemental Security Income. The External Advocate will also assist members with issues related to SSI eligibility in general; participate in regular meetings with representatives from the State, managed care organizations, consumers, and other advocates explaining how the SSI Managed Care program functions; provide summary data on representations in fair hearing and grievance activities; and submit periodic reports outlining their activities.
