Summer Merit Program
The Commission (the “Agency”) is seeking proposals from eligible Offerors to provide scholarships to Texas middle school and high school students, who are 14 to 21 years of age on the first day of summer camp, to increase the number of students served in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) skills-related summer camp programs. The purpose of the SMP is to improve middle school and high school students’ familiarity and experience with post-secondary STEM educational opportunities leading to careers related to the state’s primary industry clusters while developing collaboration among workforce development programs, colleges and universities, and Texas middle and high schools.
