Structural Engineering Consultants
The Town is seeking proposals from Structural Engineering Consultants for an independent structural peer review for the High School Additions and Renovations project.
Review the plans, specifications, and structural computations for the structure to determine compliance with the requirements of the Connecticut State Building Code to the extent necessary to assure stability and integrity of the primary structural support systems. Confirm minimum design loads, including dead and live loads, snow loads, wind, seismic and thermal loads, and special loads. Review load path for gravity/lateral loads from origin to foundations. Review structural drawings for conformance. Review each type of structural framing. Review foundation elements. Confer and meet with the Engineer of Record as required to discuss design assumptions. Submit a written summary of findings to Owner/Architect affixed with the seal of Connecticut licensed Structural Engineer.
