Mandatory pre-bid: February 18, 2009

The City of Sacramento (City) invites proposals from experienced, qualified
companies to provide street outreach, case management, and crisis intervention
activities to at-risk youth. The Street Outreach Program is one part of a citywide
youth violence reduction effort that involves interagency collaboration and
coordination with the Office of Youth Development, Sacramento Police
Department, the Department of Parks and Recreations, Neighborhood Services
Department and others. We expect selected grantees to work with City partners
on a consistent basis, including but not limited to attending a mandatory preproposal
conference, an initial training seminar and participating in weekly and
monthly meetings to discuss trends, and identify priority areas. It is also
expected that the selected grantee will partner with other community based
organizations to meet the expectations of project. The Office of Youth
Development will serve as the central coordinating agency for the citywide
violence reduction effort and will be responsible for monitoring, and oversight of
the Street Outreach Program. The Office of Youth Development will have a close
working relationship with the selected grantee. We seek a unified citywide
approach, shared training, information gathering, shared resources, and shared
identification of deployment priorities.
