The project, which consists of a culvert removal and a constructed natural wetland/stream channel, is expected to reduce flooding and improve water quality in the western area of the Complex. This is a three-part project. Firms may submit proposals for one or more components of the project, which are as follows: A) Stream Daylighting - daylighting and channel/corridor restoration of approximately 300 feet of stream currently piped through a culvert and the removal of said culvert; B) Revegetation & Stabilization - the expansion and restoration of the wetland just downstream of the northern property boundary including bioengineering; C) Bridge Work - procurement and installation of a pedestrian bridge and a tractor bridge. These project components are expected to carry out the objectives of reducing flooding problems, improving habitat features of the site; providing phosphorus mitigation within the greater landscape; and educating the public.
