The National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) is releasing a Cooperative Agreement Notice (CAN) Announcement No.NNJ17610995C. NASA/Johnson Space Center Office of Education announces, through the release of this Cooperative Agreement Notice, an opportunity for submission of proposals to work collaboratively in the execution of its education efforts. The goal of the Strategic Education Alliance (SEA) cooperative agreement is to provide high-quality, NASA-unique opportunities to students, educator and the general public that encourages them to consider careers in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM).

On or about January 13, 2017 this CAN will be available electronically through the NASA NSPIRES system https://nspires.nasaprs.com/external/ under open Solicitations.
NASA Education is committed to increasing the participation of underrepresented groups in its activities and has limited this proposal opportunity to Minority Serving Institutions within the JSC eight-state education region. This region includes Texas, Oklahoma, Colorado, Kansas, Nebraska, New Mexico, North Dakota and South Dakota.

Proposers shall submit proposals in response to this CAN via the NASA Solicitation and Proposal Integrated Review and Evaluation System (NSPIRES) at http://nspires.nasaprs.com. Electronically submitted Notices of Intent to propose are requested and are due by February 3, 2017. Electronic proposals must be submitted in its entirety by 3:00 p.m. Central Daylight Savings Time (CST) on the proposed due date of 3/17/2017.

This solicitation leading to the award of a Cooperative Agreement is issued pursuant to title 14 CFR Part 1260 for educational and nonprofit institutions and 14 CFR part 1274 for commercial organizations.

Notwithstanding the posting of this opportunity at FedBizOpps.gov, Grants.gov, or at both sites, NASA reserves the right to determine the appropriate award instrument for each proposal selected pursuant to this announcement.
