This RFQ outlines a brief to be fulfilled for an iPad app. The app is an interactive children's book for bedtime reading. We are looking for a talented and creative graphic design firm to tender for the project. We require that you demonstrate suitable artistic and graphic design ability, imagination, creativity and out of the box thinking

Integration to app
Technical Requirements for Animation output:
Engineers will probably be using iOS SpriteKit 2D engine. Therefore, we need to think about the following:

How to output the keyframes to a SpriteKit format that can handle touch events. We may need to consider using video instead of the keyframes.
The engineers may use tools to convert your pngs into spritesheets. If you have other suggestions for integration from previous experience please feel free to suggest them.
There needs to be stages for the sleepiness of the character: For example, if the child/reader is rubbing the monster to sleep, there may be 3 sleep stages before the monster starts snoring. These 3 sleep stages need to be activated by the child touching the screen. Subsequently, we need a good mechanism for stringing together these stages seamlessly.

Uniquely identifiable characters
We want to develop a suite of unique, loveable characters that young readers and parents will continue to identify with and buy into.
We want to merchandise the characters so imagine them as cuddly toys
We must generate an identification with these characters
The monster characters must become a well - known brand
If you want to create 3D characters then that's your choice, but the app will be using a 2D engine to ease development. As long as we have 2D animations in the end that will be fine. The advantage of 3D models is that we can see how the toys would look, but obviously animation and development time would increase.
