STINGER WEAPON SYSTEM SPARES
The U.S. Army Contracting Command-Redstone proposes to issue a sole source Firm Fixed Price contract to Raytheon Missile Systems (RMS), 1151 E Hermans Road, Tucson, Arizona 85756-9367, CAGE code 15090. This effort is to procure Stinger Weapon System Spares in support of implemented FMS cases. The spares being procures are two (2) lots of ATAL kit w/adapter Spares IAW MIS-PRF-50133 Rev H, one (1) lot of Coolant Reservoir Unit Spares, and two (2) lots of DLTS Spares. All lots delivered will be for five year sustainment based on an Operating Tempo of 180 hours.
As described in FAR 6.302-1(a)(2)(ii)(A), when the supplies or services required by the agency are available only from one responsible source, or for DoD, NASA and the Coast Guard, from only one or a limited number of responsible sources, and no other types of supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements, full and open competition need not be provided for. RMS is the only source that can produce and deliver spares for the Stinger missile and associated equipment. RMS is the only available source with the appropriate technical expertise, corporate knowledge, specialized skills and trained workforce to perform the required effort in the required timeframe.
