Veterans Health Administration, Network Contracting Office 5, is issuing this request for information/sources sought notice in order to identify entities in the Washington DC area that have the resources and capabilities to provide Sterilizer Preventive Inspection & Maintenance Services for the Washington DC VA Medical Center.
Description of Work
The contractor will provide all resources necessary to perform quarterly preventive inspections and annual preventive maintenance services on sterilization equipment located in the DC VAMC s OR and Lab areas; the sterilization equipment includes (1) Getinge 533 LS sterilizer, (1) Getinge 733 LS sterilizer, and (2) Steris/AMSCO Century V116 sterilizers.
Technical Qualifications
Contractor technicians must be trained and certified by the equipment manufacturers to perform inspection and maintenance services on these types of sterilization equipment and have experience doing such in a hospital setting.
Interested & Capable Responses
NCO 5 is seeking responses from entities that are interested in this procurement and consider themselves to have the resources, capabilities and qualifications necessary to provide these services. Please respond with your:
1. Business name, business type, socio-economic status (e.g., Veteran-Owned, Woman-Owned, Disadvantaged Small Business, 8(a), etc.), and person of contact (including telephone number & email address).
2. Capability statement and summary of previous experience providing sterilizer inspection & maintenance services for the Veterans Health Administration or other similar healthcare facilities.
3. GSA contract number, if your company has one, that includes line items covering these types of services in the Washington, DC geographical area.
4. Ballpark cost estimate of what the DC VAMC could expect to pay your company to perform the work described above per year.

The results of this market research will assist in the development of (1) the requirement, and (2) the acquisition strategy (e.g., small business set-aside, full and open competition, etc.).
