This Sources Sought Notice is for informational and planning purposes only and shall not be construed as a solicitation or as an obligation or commitment by the Government at this time. This notice is intended strictly for market research. The purpose of this Sources Sought notice is to determine interest and capability of large businesses and small businesses, to include VIP-Verified Veteran-Owned Small Business (VOSB) and Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) prospective contractors relative to the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code 339113 (Surgical Appliance and Supplies Manufacturing).
The Sterile Dryer is known to meet the Government s needs.
The Government is requesting that responsible Large and Small Businesses, including SDVOSB and VOSB sources respond if it can provide the following items on a brand name or equal basis:

Salient Characteristics (Sterile Dryer or EQUAL):
Sterile Air Drier that uses bio-clean air
Pre-filters must be front mounted for ease in replacing
Air must be pre-filtered and then filtered with a separate HEPA filter
HEPA filter must be 99% efficient in removing particles larger than 0.3 microns
Drier must have separate HEPA filters for each chamber.
Separate blowers for each chamber
Heater must be thermostatically controlled
Able to recirculate 80 to 90% of heated air
Must have forced vertical airflow
Have a Over temperature thermal cut-off on heaters and blowers
Individually fused, hospital grade plug
Controls must be Microprocessor controlled capable of timed operation and continuous operation of the Temperature and time
Digital display countdown timer
Front loading with clear see-thru doors
Unit must have 9 adjustable shelves
Interested vendors are required to submit an e-mail delineating:
Qualifications, capabilities, and experience for providing this product;
Business size/Socioeconomic status;
If the product is on the Federal Supply Schedule or the Open Market; and
Memo or correspondence which authorizes distributor to distribute the manufacturer s products.
This is not a Request for Quote/Proposal or an announcement of a solicitation and no solicitation package exists at this time. Your responses will be used solely for market research purposes of the Government. The Government will not pay for any materials provided in response to this notice and submissions will not be returned to the sender. VOSBs and SDVOSBs must be registered and verified in VIP for consideration.
The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code for this requirement is 339113 and the small business size standard is 750 employees. Responses due are to be submitted by e-mail to Jamila Nicholas at jamila.nicholas2@va.gov. The information requested must be received no later than 4:00pm Central Standard Time on Tuesday, August 22, 2017.
