State of Vermont Act 60-68 Evaluation

The Towns and other County Towns seek to hire a consultant to evaluate the following impacts of Vermont Education Funding Structure known as Act 60 and Act 68:
1)The impact on the economy of the area since the inception of Act 60 and Act 68 and,
2)Whether the funding structure results in equal educational opportunity for the area students
The 2010/2011 Vermont Legislature passed House bill No. 436 which calls for a statewide study of the impacts and efficacy of No. 60 of the Acts of the 1997 Adj Session (1998) and No. 68 of the Acts of the 2003 Adj Session (2004). A consultant will be selected by the state to study the two elements noted above in the context of a broader study. That report is due to the state of Vermont by January 15 2012. By contrast, the consultant selected in response to this RFP will focus more narrowly on the towns noted herein and upon the elements noted in this RFP.
