5-10K grant for charter school administration projects. Rolling acceptance date. Date posted is last of three.
The purpose of the New Hampshire Vision (Pre-Charter Planning) Grants are to provide financial resources to persons and groups wishing to study and design a Charter School proposal and to stimulate high-quality Charter School applications. The funds are intended to cover costs for meetings, presentations, study, information-sharing, and networkingcosts which in prior years were shown to be burdensome to community groups. The Vision (Pre-Charter Planning) Grant is intended for groups wishing to open a Charter School in the future. Applicants should be able to articulate the idea or vision for a Charter School they wish to pursue but are not expected to have all the details of the proposed school. Developing those details is the purpose of the grant. Pre-charter planning grants may be requested for sums not to exceed $15,000 with average grant awards anticipated in the $5,000-$7,500 range. If the founding group subsequently submits a Charter School application at the local or state level and is authorized to open, then Charter Schools founders are eligible to apply for one of the Charter School Programs start-up grants.
