OCS is seeking comprehensive training and continuous support services for all current and prospective
resource families. Resource families include licensed foster families, and kinship or relative families who
are responsible for the day-to day care of children who must reside outside of their parents home due to
abuse or neglect. Resource families are required to provide safe, culturally sensitive care that meets the
childs identified special needs. Additionally, resource families must work as a part of the childs team and
will work with and support the child in reunification efforts with the childs parents.
