State Lands Management System

Nevada, United States
Government : State
RFP

The Nevada State Purchasing Division on behalf of the Division of State Lands is requesting proposals for the design, development and implementation of a new Land Management System. The main focuses of the project will be to implement a system that will enable the agency to effectively inventory and manage all of the State's land resources, and track acquisition and disposal information. The system will be required to produce contract and permit documents and billings, and to provide project management functionality. The system must meet current state database standards, and validate and correct the existing data. A primary aspect of the proposed system will be to implement a GIS component with which to view and analyze the land data, and to improve the Division's efficiency, accuracy and customer service. This new system will replace the current State Lands Information System (SLIMS), which is nearing 10 years of age , is running on Microsoft Access 2003, and does not meet current State database standards. The current system is incapable of performing many of the basic functions that are required of the Division pursuant the Nevada Revised Statue. In addition, the actual underlying data has a high error rate, and therefore is currently not reliable.

The maximum total funds allocated for all products and services outlined in this RFP are $240,000.00. A resultant contract is anticipated to begin April, 2008 and must be completed before June 30, 2009.
