The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers is offering for sale two (2) items of standing timber on approximately 324 acres within five (5) separate blocks at Fort A.P. Hill, Bowling Green, VA 22427 of which approximately the following volumes to be harvested:
The sales are sold per Item by unit, harvested timber will be sold by WEIGHT by the ton.
Item 1 - TIMBER ON 3 BLOCK (142 ACRES)
PINE SAWTIMBER -- 871 Tons
PINE CHIP N SAW - 647 Tons
PINE PULPWOOD - 4623 Tons
HARDWOOD SAWTIMBER - 1654 Tons
HARDWOOD PULPWOOD - 1185 Tons
Tons of Chips (optional) - 366 Tons
Item 2 - TIMBER ON 1 BLOCK (80 ACRES)
PINE SAWTIMBER -- 891 Tons
PINE CHIP N SAW - 868 Tons
PINE PULPWOOD - 5269 Tons
HARDWOOD SAWTIMBER - 984 Tons
HARDWOOD PULPWOOD - 1502 Tons
Tons of Chips (optional) - 158 Tons
Contract Period of Performance:
Item # one (1) Block # one (1) - All harvest operations including site rehabilitation activities of this item shall be completed by 15 April 2021. No tree cutting 15 April to 30 June.
Item # one (1) Block # two (2) - All harvest operations including site rehabilitation activities of this item shall be completed by 15 April 2021. No tree cutting 15 April to 15 September.
Item # one (1) Block # three (3) - All harvest operations including site rehabilitation activities of this item shall be completed by 15 April 2020.
Item # two (2) Block # four (4) - All harvest operations including site rehabilitation activities of this item shall be completed by 15 April 2021. No tree cutting 15 April to 30 June.
Item # two (2) Block # five (2) - All harvest operations including site rehabilitation activities of this item shall be completed by 15 April 2020.
INSPECTION INVITED ON FRIDAY 6 September 2019 & FRIDAY 13 September 2019 BEGINNING AT 9:00 a.m. EACH MORNING. 6 September 2019 showing will include all available blocks except Item 1 Block 3. 13 September 2019 showing will include all available blocks except Item 2 Block 4. FOR ACCESS TO HARVEST AREAS ARRANGE IN ADVANCE. Sealed bids will be accepted until 2:00 p.m. Thursday September 19, 2019 by the Acquisition, Management, and disposal section, real estate office, 803 Front Street, Norfolk, VA, and then opened publicly.
