This this to request e provision and delivery of two types of rodent diet & environmental enrichment shacks as specified below to the National Institute of Dental and Craniofacial Research (NIDCR) at NIH for a period of one base year, starting May 29, 2018 with three option years. The NIDCR, VRC vivarium houses mouse models for bone/dental disease, resulting in difficulties eating the standard NIH hard pellet diet. It is essential this colony continue receiving the supplemental diet they have been provided for the past 10 years to maintain standards in the colony and minimize variables in research. This diet meets all nutritional standards. The requested Bio-Huts (disposable) are a requirement for environmental enrichment of rodents that provide comfort and housing for the breeding colony as well as single housed animals. Lack of walk-in coolers and adequate storage space necessitates the monthly delivery of food and supplies to this location to minimize waste.
