Special testing and inspection services for new student housing
The Anna Head West Student Housing project is a 147,000 sf project that will be constructed on the parking lot site located west of Bowditch Street and the historical Anna Head facilities, and between Channing Avenue and Haste Street.
The Anna Head West Student Housing project is a combined sophomore residence hall and upper-division apartment facility. The project will house 418 students, approximately half in double-occupancy rooms and half in 4-bedroom suites. The ground level floor will house associated program facilities including recreational lounge areas, academic center and offices, computer center, study areas, kitchenette, laundry facility and an exercise area.
The 5-6 story concrete frame building will utilize passive thermal elements, incorporate energy efficient mechanical systems and maximize natural light and ventilation. Protection of several specimen trees on site and provision of landscape within courtyards and adjacent to the new facility are included in the project. Construction Costs are estimated to be $44,000,000.
