The Scope of work of Phase I includes destructive testing, abatement, demolition of existing structures (including Buildings V, VA, and portions of Building H and Koret Building (K Building), the new Koret Building entry vestibule, utilities, entry drive way and parking at 31st Street and construction of the new Satellite Building and associated underground parking and site work.
The Satellite Building is an OSHPD 3 permitted building that must adhere to all codes and requirements of agencies with jurisdiction over the project. OSHPD review will be required at the eastern leg of the Satellite Building Link to the Koret Building. This portion of the building is adjacent to the Koret Building (OSHPD) and, therefore, will require OSHPD review and approval of, at least, the connection to the Koret Building.
Construction of the link will require demolition of portions of the existing Lobby at Building H, the Canopy at the Koret Building, and the existing entry to the Koret Building, as well as the reconstruction of a new Entry to the Koret Building. Such demolition and reconstruction requires OSHPD review and approval.
