The Department of Veterans Affairs, VISN 08, James A. Haley Veterans Hospital (JAHVAH) is looking
for certified, Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) and Veteran Owned Small
Business (VOSB), Small business, and/or other than small businesses sources for the following:
Blood Compatibility Testing Services (Blood Bank Transfusion Service) provided by a registered and/or licensed blood bank entity. The Blood Bank will facilitate all blood transfusion and transfusion-related services, including without limitation, compatibility testing, licensed personnel, supplies, and equipment. Compatibility testing shall be defined to include all crosshatching, all type and screen, all antibody identifications, set up of all antibody elution s, and all reference laboratory workups.
This is not a request for competitive quotes; however, any firm that believes it can meet these requirements, please provide written notification to the Contracting Officer within eight (8) days from the date of the publication of this notice. SDVOSB or VOSB must be certified and verified in the U.S. Department of Veteran Affairs, Office of Small & Disadvantaged Business Utilization, Vendor Information Pages (VIP) web site located at https://www.vip.vetbiz.gov/. Any response to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the Government.
The coverage option required is 24 hours/day, 7 days/week (including Holidays). Services will include all blood transfusion and transfusion-related services, including without limitation, compatibility testing, all personnel, supplies and equipment. Compatibility testing shall be defined to include all cross matching, all type and screen testing, all antibody identifications, all antibody elutions and all reference laboratory workups.
Only responses from authorized representatives of the firm will be considered. Adequate knowledge, skills, and abilities in processing blood bank and organ bank Transfusion/Blood Compatibility Testing Services provided by a Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendment (CLIA), Federal Drug Administration (FDA) registered and accredited by the American Association of Blood Banks (AABB), or the College of American Pathologist (CAP) to support healthcare operations. Such services shall be provided onsite at the JAHVH located at 13000 Bruce B. Downs Blvd., Tampa, FL 33612.
Responses are due by 07/6/2018 2:30 PM, Eastern Standard Time (EST). The North America Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 621991. Business Size Standard is 30 million of dollars.
