New York City Economic Development Corporation (NYCEDC) is seeking an experienced, professional parking lot operator (the Selected Respondent) to manage, maintain and operate an approximately 47,576 square foot site (the Site) as a parking facility in Downtown Brooklyn.
The Site, located within the area of Downtown Brooklyn commonly referred to as the BAM Cultural District (the Cultural District), is bounded by Lafayette Avenue, Flatbush Avenue and Ashland Place. The Site serves both daily/transient and monthly parking and is expected to continue to meet the parking needs of neighborhood businesses, cultural organizations and residents. NYCEDC anticipates engaging Apple Industrial Development Corporation (Apple) to manage the Site on its behalf, including entering into a short-term management contract (the Management Contract) with the Selected Respondent. Alternatively, NYCEDC, at its discretion, may directly contract with the Selected Respondent and may thereafter assign the Management Contract to Apple.
The Management Contract, if awarded, shall commence on or around January 8, 2010, and shall be terminable upon thirty (30) days written notice, except as otherwise provided in the Management Contract. NYCEDC anticipates that the Management Contract shall be for a minimum of eight (8) month
