Sources Sought-Alaska Installation Sole Source Item- Knox Cap
SOURCES SOUGHT: THIS NOTICE IS MARKET RESEARCH TO SUPPORT INCLUSIONOF A SOLE SOURCE (BRAND NAME) SPECIFICATION IN VARIOUS MILITARY CONSTRUCTION PROJECTS FOR THE US ARMY ENGINEER DISTRICTS, ALASKA AND IN NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL. The U.S. Army Engineer District, Alaska intends to specify the below listed item as part of larger construction contracts to be executed on various military installations throughout the Sate o Alaska. A determination by the Government to not compete this requirement based on the responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Reference FAR6.302-1(c), "Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements."
ITEM: Knox Caps,
Knox Caps and Knox Plugs provide protection for both the intake and discharge sides of the water based fire protection systems. They provide fire department with control over FDC equipment. The Knox's locking Secure Cap and FDC plugs deliver clean FDC lines, undamaged connection thread and, control over FDC connection access. The Knox FDC caps and plugs are part of the Knox Rapid Entry System manufactures by the Knox Company. The FDC plug with Swivel-Guard covers the entire swivel connection which minimizes the potential of the connection being stolen.
Vendors who offer similar products are invited to respond to this notice. Responses must include the following information:
1. Identification of the manufacturer's name, address and country of product manufacture.
2. Fully detailed specification sheet's
3. Narrative addressing how your product meets the salient features listed.
4. Country of manufacture.
