Sources Sought- Laundry Advanced Systems
This announcement constitutes a Request for Information (RFI) only by the Army Contracting Command - Warren (ACC-WRN) to conduct a market survey to assess industries current capabilities for producing laundry equipment that recycles water. This RFI does not constitute a commitment, implied or otherwise, that ACC-WRN will take procurement action in this matter. Any information provided does not constitute a proposal, but will be considered an exchange of capabilities and ideas. Neither ACC-WRN nor the Government will be responsible for any cost incurred in furnishing this information.
Some of the desired attributes addressing for laundry equipment that recycles includes, but are not limited to, the following:
1. Product solutions must be immediately available
2. Product solutions should meet or exceed applicable environmental standards.
3. Must be compatible with US military air, sea and ground transportation capabilities
4. Companies experience with finding replacement components for obsolete parts to existing systems
5. Companies that can make improvement to the reliability of the system which leads to an increase in readiness
6. Companies experience with producing and manufacturing Laundry Systems that use distillation to recycle the water.
7. Companies experience dealing with systems that are trailer mounted
8. Companies that have experience with burner fuel filters, Inlet/Outlet Piping, Water Draining System, inverters into the system, touchscreens, and Air Compressors.
All interested firms and manufacturers, regardless of size, may respond to this request for information. Information submissions can include product literature and illustrations, relevant company background/experience and a response to the questions in the table below. Information submissions are requested to be received no later than 5 days following posting of the RFI. Responses to this notice should be directed via email to: Jacob.a.silcox2.civ@mail.mil
All information supplied will be considered confidential, unless otherwise specified by the firm or available from other sources without restriction. This is not an Invitation for Bid (IFB) or a Request for Proposal (RFP) and is not to be taken as a commitment by ACC-WRN. This RFI is issued for information and planning purposes to investigate market capability of sources and does not constitute an indication that the Government will contract for any of the items and/or services contained in this notice. No reimbursement will be made for any costs to provide information in response to this announcement or any follow-up information requests. ACC-WRN reserves the right to request additional clarifying information from each respondent.
