This is a SOURCE SOUGHT NOTICE. This notice is for informational and planning purposes only and shall not be construed as a solicitation for proposals or as an obligation or commitment of any kind by the Government. This notice is intended strictly for market research and planning purposes. Please reference 283213-18-R-S0000005 when responding to this announcement.
Background:
The Social Security Administration has a requirement to provide Training Services for Employees with Disabilities on the use of Computers with Adaptive Devices. Training services will be required for Deaf or Hard of Hearing/Communication Devices Classes, Blind Synthetic Speech/ Braille Output Classes, Low Vision/Magnification Classes, Low Vision/Magnification and Synthetic Speech Classes, Mobility Impaired/Speech Recognition Classes, Non-disabled AT Training Classes, AD HOC, and Cognitive Impairment Classes. Training shall take place at SSA offices throughout the United States and its territories. Contractor personnel shall be required to undergo a complete background investigation. A draft statement of work is attached.
Instructions for Responses:
If your company has the ability to provide these services, please provide a capability statement that describes your experience with providing training to EWDs . Additionally, we request that you provide the following information:
a. DUNS number
b. Company Name
c. Company Address
d. Type of Company (i.e. large business, small business, small disadvantaged, women owned, HUBZone, and Service Disabled) for the above referenced NAICS code as validated via the System for Award Management
e. Company point of contact, title, phone and email address
f. GSA Contract number, if applicable.
SSA will not consider submissions of simple marketing materials/brochures, incomplete responses that do not conform to the requested elements of this notice, or references to websites.
Do not submit pricing data with your response. This is not a request for proposals or an announcement of a solicitation. No solicitation package exists at this time. No proprietary, confidential, sensitive information should be included in your response. SSA reserves the right to use any non-proprietary information in any resultant solicitation. Respondents will not be notified of the results of the evaluation of the information received and submittals will not be returned to the sender.
All responses must be submitted in an electronic form via e-mail to the Contract Specialist at wanda.owens@ssa.gov and brenda.monch@ssa.gov no later than October 20, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. Responses received after the due date will not be considered. The file size limitation for e-mail attachments is 5 MB. Faxed information will not be considered. SSA will not accept phone calls regarding this notice.
