Feedback is encouraged and appreciated.

The 413th Contracting Support Brigade, Regional Contracting Office Fort Wainwright Alaska, is seeking information on sources to provide targets and target support systems that have the capability to reliably operate down to -40 F. Target systems provided must be current off the shelf technology and not specifically modified to meet the -40 F objective. All systems must currently meet existing TACOM standards (e.g. ATSII, and TRACER compatible). See the attached extract from the PWS describing the baseline standards.

We are requesting information on the following targets and target support systems:
    Stationary Infantry Target
    Stationary Armor Target
    Moving Infantry Target
    Moving Armor Target
    Battle Field Effects Simulators
    Sound Effect Simulators
    Radio Frequency Control System

All targets must have muzzle flash simulators and thermal capability. Moving targets include all charging/docking equipment and track systems. Vendors are requested to provide a listing of products in each of the categories that meet the required temperature criteria of -40 F. The listing must include a full description of the product, basic technical specifications, a validation that the product meets the existing Army standards as well as a description of the testing methods used to validate that the target systems are capable of operating at -40F.
The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code contemplated for this procurement is 339999, All Other Miscellaneous Manufacturing, with a size standard of 500 employees, however respondents may identify other potential NAICS codes and the reasoning to support the recommendation. This notice is not designed to discourage competition from any business interested in this requirement. Since the current capabilities must be confirmed, all eligible large and small businesses are encouraged to respond. The Government is not obligated and will not pay for any information received from potential sources as a result of this Sources Sought notice. Respondents WILL NOT be notified of the results of this sources sought survey. If and when a solicitation is issued it will be posted on www.fedbizops.gov. It is the respondent's responsibility to monitor this site for the release of any synopsis or solicitation.
