The National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL) is a national laboratory owned by the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) and managed by an M&O contractor (Alliance for Sustainable Energy) under prime contract No. DE-AC36-08GO28308 with the DOE. NREL is comprised of several different research and support 'directorates' which focus on various aspects of the research portfolio conducted on the campus. Currently, multiple directorates within the NREL organization are seeking additional lab space that can meet their needs.

NREL is interested in finding laboratory space off-site. Proposals submitted in response to this RFP shall include the minimum requirements identified in the RFP- even if those capabilities do not currently exist in that space. Proposals submitted shall include a price per square foot that reflects the total price after any design/modification/construction that may be required to meet the criteria stated in the proposal has been completed.
