Sources Sought for Heavy Equipment Transportation (HET) services.
This is a Sources Sought announcement to request information for planning purposes only. This is not an announcement of a solicitation.
Responses to this notice will assist the government in identifying potential sources, in determining if a set-aside of the solicitation is appropriate, and in determining whether or not this approach to securing contracting support is practicable.
To perform transportation services for the Maneuver Center of Excellence (MCoE) and the installation in the shipping/transporting of various types of tactical equipment to and from local training areas/ranges throughout Fort Benning, GA.
The contractor will be responsible for transporting tactical equipment to and from local training areas and ranges. The contract will cover Army Sponsor Events in Phenix City, Alabama and Columbus, Georgia. The contractor will be responsible for meeting the shipping requirements and quantities as specified by the Contracting Officer Representative (COR). The service contract will support the following vehicles:
Abrams Main Battle Tanks: M1A1 & M1A2
Bradley Fighting Vehicle Infantry/Cavalry Version: M2A3, & M3A3
Recovery Vehicle: M88A1 & M88A2
Personnel Carriers: M113A3 & M577
Stryker Variants: M1126, M1127, M1128, M1129, & M1130
Transportation of tracked and wheeled vehicles will be scheduled in order to accommodate training schedules. The contractor(s) shall be required to transport equipment Monday through Friday during daylight hours only to support training. The contractor shall be required to transport equipment within 24 hours upon notification by the Contracting Officer Representative (COR) or a designated government representative appointed by the COR. The contractor shall be prepared to accept shipments for pick-up established by the shipping activity and adhere to the delivery schedules given by the COR. Pick Up and Delivery Service. Monday through Friday normal business days for the purpose of pickup and delivery service.
Period of Performance: One (1) base year of 12 months and two (2) 12 months option years.
