Sources Sought - Turf Applications and General Grounds Maintenance, Arlington National Cemetery (ANC) and US Soldier's and Airmen's Home National Cemetery (USSAHNC)
The government intends to modify an existing contract, W91QV1-11-C-0022, using FAR Part 52.217-8, Option to Extend Services for a period of 2 months (1 July 2014 - 31 August 2014). The NAICS Code is 561730. Upon the completion of this period of performance, the government intends to issue a competitive Firm Fixed price contract to a small business to provide turf applications and grounds maintenance and improvement services. These services to Arlington National Cemetery (ANC) and US Soldier's and Airmen's Home National Cemetery (USSAHNC) consists of approximately 578 acres of developed grounds includes mowing and trimming turf; edging of curbs; refilling, top dressing, seeding and sodding graves and other areas; clearing snow and ice from walks, plazas and steps; performing post-burial care to new gravesites; removing trash, debris, leaves and floral arrangements; providing additional clean-up prior to ceremonies; applying liquid and granular pesticides, fertilizers, and other soil amendments; core-aerating the soil; operating above and below-ground irrigation systems; hydro-seeding and mulching; spot-watering; and performing extensive turf renovation. Work area includes all developed land within the boundaries of ANC and USSAHNC.
