Sources Sought Synopsis to install approximately 800,000 vegetative plants over a 350 acre area in Mississippi.

The purpose of this amendment is to provide information on the types of vegetation for this requirement, and to extend the response date to July 17, 2014.

For similar projects, a variety of typical dune plants from along the Gulf Coast as shown below, were used:

Uniola paniculata (sea oats)
Panicum amarum (beach panic grass)
Schizachyrium maritimum (maritime bluestem)
Croton punctatus (beach tea)
Cakile lanceolata (sea rocket)
Sesuvium portulacastrum (sea purslane)
and other specias as desired

Note: Quantities/percentages are unknown at this time, but Uniola Paniculata will make up a significant percentage of the total.
