This sources sought notice/request for information (RFI) is being conducted by the Network Contracting Office (NCO) 16, Division III, Services B, located at 2002 Holcombe Blvd., Bldg. 100, in Houston, Texas seeking information from potential contractors capable of providing preventative maintenance and service on patient lift equipment.

Description / Scope / Objective.
The Contractor shall furnish all labor, parts, tools, equipment, materials, hardware/software upgrade, installations, personnel, supervision, management, transportation and any other necessary supplies/resources to service and perform annual preventative maintenance on the list of patient lift equipment. The Contractor must perform tests and correct any deficiencies identified by the tests. The Contractor must complete all lift testing on a fiscal year basis within fifty-five (55) to sixty (60) days (see attached Draft Performance Work Statement (PWS) - Section 6: Scheduled Maintenance).

This is a New Requirement. The tentative period of performance: May 1, 2019 April 30, 2020, with four (4) additional, one (1) year option period to be exercised at the Government discretion.

(8) Is the Contractor available under any of the following (Please list the contract number and a brief summary of the services provided):
Government Wide Agency Contract (GWAC);
General Services Administration Schedules (GSA);
Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ);
Blanket Purchase Agreement (BPA)
(9) Has the vendor provided similar services? (Contractor shall provide in capability statement a list of active contracts for commercial, federal, state, and local governments. Active contracts must be of the same or similar to this work requirement, for example, maintenance and repair of patient lift equipment per full description of attached Draft PWS. List of contracts shall provide communication to the Government of the requirement illustrating the capability for comparison).
(10) Is the Contractor an Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) authorized vendor with certified technicians to meet all Government requirements and objectives? (Contractor shall attach proof/documentation from OEM on letterhead which shall serve as notification as an authorized vendor; to be reviewed by the Government for consideration as part of the Market Research and responsiveness to this Sources Sought notice.)
(11) Does the Contractor possess the capability to obtain software updates for OEM equipment? (This procurement is for new OEM medical supplies, medical equipment and/or service for maintenance of medical equipment such as replacement parts for VA Medical Centers. No re-manufactures or gray market items will be acceptable. Gray market items are OEM goods sold through unauthorized channels in direct competition with authorized distributors. Vendors must attach proof {i.e., receipts, OEM letter/memo, documentation, etc.,} to obtain parts, hardware/software updates for OEM equipment; to be reviewed by the Government for consideration as part of market research and responsive to this sources sought notice.)
(12) Provide a short summary of your potential approach to this type of contract and meeting the specific requirements per the draft PWS and your experience managing similar contracts with similar requirements for the MEDVAMC.

Small Business concerns are encouraged to provide responses to this RFI in order to assist the MEDVAMC in determining potential levels of competition available in the industry. The Contractor shall provide answers to all questions requested and shall possess the capability to provide all requirements and objectives per the DRAFT Performance Work Statement.
