THE GOVERNMENT INTENDS TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCE CONTRACT FOR Saratech, Inc.
BACKGROUND:
Renewal of current licenses of FEMAP (Finite Element Modeling And Post Processing) software. This software is an engineering analysis program that is used to build finite element models of complex engineering problems and view solution results. FEMAP is used to model complex products, systems and processes to include Army rotorcraft and fixed wing platforms. FEMAP software is proprietary and unique only to one provider. This product is essential to mission requirements of the Aviation Engineering Directorate. Other similar products do not meet nor can be modified to meet these requirements.
AUTHORITY CITED- The statutory authority permitting other than full and open competition is 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1), as implemented by FAR 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements.
