This is a Sources Sought Synopsis announcement for market research in support of multiple construction projects at the SOF Coastal Campus, Naval Base Coronado in Coronado, California which require electrical monitoring. The information will be utilized for preliminary planning purposes. The information received will be utilized within the Navy to facilitate the decision making processes and will not be disclosed outside the agency. No reimbursement will be made for any costs associated with providing information in response to this announcement or any follow-up information requests. This notice does not constitute a Request for Proposal and is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government for any purpose other than market research.
Further, the Navy is not at this time seeking proposals and will not accept unsolicited proposals.

Respondents will not be notified of the results of the analysis. All data received in response to this Sources Sought Synopsis that is marked or designated as corporate or proprietary information will be fully protected from release outside the Government. Since this is a Sources Sought announcement, no debrief, evaluation letters, and/or results will be issued to the participants.

Responses to this Sources Sought Synopsis will be used to make appropriate acquisition decisions. No telephone calls will be accepted requesting a proposal package or solicitation. There is no proposal package or solicitation at this time.
In order to protect the procurement integrity of any future procurements that may arise from this announcement, information regarding the technical point of contact will not be given and no appointments for presentations will be made.

The required equipment is for networkable smart electric meters which are fully functional and compatible with Schneider Electric Power Monitoring Expert and ION Setup 3.0.


The smart electric meters will be required for projects requiring connection to the Advanced Metering Infrastructure which is part of the Naval Base Coronado Smart Grid. The estimated total value of the meters is $81,000 through June 30, 2018.?.

Interested sources are invited to respond to this Sources Sought Synopsis by completing Attachment 1 - Company Information and Attachment 2 - Technical Information.


Responses to this Sources Sought Synopsis are due no later than July 3rd, 2017, 2:00 p.m., Pacific Daylight Time (PDT). The responses should be submitted electronically via e-mail to Matt Koontz, at matt.koontz@navy.mil.
