Solicitation is for an indoor/outdoor emergency warning system.
It is the intention of Macon State College (MSC) to purchase an emergency notification system to provide voice announcements and tone warnings to outdoor areas on campus and indoors in designated buildings. The system shall include a single omni-directional electronic siren with two-way controller electronics, receiver and battery compartment and four (4) two-way indoor electronic controllers to deliver tone and voice to distributed speakers indoors. The system will be activated using a VHF high band frequency(s) designated by MSC. The system shall be configured to provide warning tones, voice notification using professionally pre-recorded digital voice announcements and live Public Address (PA) voice announcements. The activation system must be accessible on and off campus via MSCs LAN/WAN and shall include a secure means to activate the system and monitor system status. MSC will provide a Windows server with monitor and printer. The bidder shall provide the activation application and TCP/IP client software. The indoor warning system will include thirty-two (32) 8-Watt ceiling mount speakers provided by the bidder to be installed by MSC. The bid shall include 15 wireless receivers from the bidder that shall be configured to sound the same pre-recorded messages as the outdoor system as well as spontaneous PA announcements. MSC shall install the wiring for the indoor speakers, the indoor speakers and the indoor wireless receivers.
