Sole Source Procurement for Immunomagnetic Beads
The US Environmental Protection Agency, Emergency Response Service Center on behalf of the Office of Research and Development and under the authority of FAR 6.302 intends to award a sole source procurement to IDEXX Laboratories, Inc for the purchase of immunmagnetic beads coated with antibodies against Cryptosporidium and Giardia. The NAICS code for this requirement is: 325199. IDEXX Laboratories is the only company known to the EPA that can provide these type of beads and is approved for use in the US EPA Method 16123. The Government is continually seeking qualified vendors in obtaining a source list of similar specialty trade. However, IDEXX is the only manufacturer of these immunomagnetic beads known at this time. If there are other vendors capable of providing the same type of immunomagnetic beads, your response to this notice is welcomed no later than May 27, 2014 - 12 noon EST. Please provide proof of such items and their cost. You may submit this via email to the Contracting Officer, Elaine Scott at [email protected]. NO PHONE CALLS WILL BE ACCEPTED. The Contracting Officer has the descretion to not compete this requirement per the FAR regulations.
