The Houston Advanced Research Center, the University of Houston and the Port of Galveston are working together on a U.S. Department of Energy solar panel research project at Cruise Terminal #1 in Galveston, Texas. The solar panels will be installed by UH graduate students, however we do not have a provider to install an informational kiosk to be located in the Cruise Terminal and viewed by Cruise ship passengers as they wait to board. This request for proposals (RFP) is to install a "kiosk" that includes two 48" (minimum) monitors and a computer to receive real time information from the solar panels. The computer will also provide informational slides and video to the monitors which describe this research project. Additional wall space will be filled with high quality graphics.
