Software Risk Mitigations and Investigations
The contractor shall perform efforts in accordance with OD 61988, in order to mitigate risks in the FC software development and support programs. These efforts shall include investigations, trade studies and feasibility studies which directly support the Fire Control Software Programs.
Negotiations will be conducted with General Dynamics Advanced Information Systems (GDAIS) Pittsfield, MA. GDAIS is the sole manufacturer of the United States and United Kingdom TRIDENT (II) D5 Strategic Weapon System and the only source with the in-depth knowledge, expertise, and in-place capability to perform the required effort.
