Software Developer for VersiFit K12 Intelligence Dashboard
Background
The Milwaukee Public Schools central office staff has asked that their current ability to use our VersiFit K12 Intelligence Data Warehouse (Oracle Database) be enhanced by utilizing the additional functionality available to us through our VersiFit K12 Intelligence Dashboard. Staff uses the Data Warehouse to monitor District and Student academic, behavioral and financial progress. The district is seeking a highly qualified software developer to build this new dashboard for central office staff. The dashboard is designed to be largely an aggregate of an existing school administrator dashboard intentionally complementary and directly tied to metrics in the Working Together, Achieving More strategic plan.
Services Required
The Contractor will assist the district with the implementation of the following tasks from July 28, 2009 through September 4, 2009:
Lead Developer for 32 metrics on 11 pages using the VersiFit K12 Intelligence Dashboard tool, HTML and PL/SQL
Train Milwaukee Public School (MPS) development staff to use the VersiFit K12 Intelligence Dashboard tool
Work as a resource and mentor to MPS development staff as they do approximately 50% of the development work for this project
Coordinate User Testing
Obtain User sign-off
Roll-out Production version
Weekly status reports to the MPS Project Manager and Project Supervisors
Other technical assignments as required
Work Requirements
Must be available to work on site at MPS Central Service building under the supervision of the Manager of Application Development or his designee
Must be available for a minimum of 240 man hours during the duration of this project
Must adhere to all of the districts IT change management policies and processes
Must be available to commence work no later than July 28, 2009.
Minimum Requirements:
At least three years (6,000 hours) of Oracle PL/SQL experience as a developer
The equivalent of two years (4000 hours) of VersiFit K12 Intelligence Business Objects report development experience.
The equivalent of six months (1000 hours) of VersiFit K12 Intelligence Dashboard development experience.
Other Experience:
Previous experience working with MPS highly desirable
Previous experience assisting public sector clients and ideally K12 organizations would be desirable
