The Program is seeking proposals from qualified experts who will analyze and report back on how the program could better connect with its audiences using social media tools.

The primary deliverable of this project will be a detailed report that will include both guidance and
research elements. At a minimum, the document must:
 provide a thorough review of the program’s current use of social media tools.
 guide program staff in using new and current social media tools in innovative ways.
 describe how the program’s social media presence will interact with and complement MARC’s
agency-wide social media presence.
 identify the program messages that would have the most impact via social media, and identify
which tools lend themselves best to communicating those messages.
 identify key audiences that the program can and should reach out to via social media.
 provide specific short- and long-term recommendations that will help MARC staff use the
program’s existing messages, tone and style to, over a period of time, work toward increasing air
quality awareness and encourage citizens to take actions that reduce air pollution.
 outline no less than two (2) specific, original social-media campaigns, which fit within the
program’s existing public education campaign, that staff could implement (must include details on
purpose, anticipated impacts, examples of designs/messages, audiences reached, timeline and
budget).
