The Space and Naval Warfare Systems Command (SPAWAR), in support of Multifunctional Information Distribution System (MIDS) Program Office (MPO) Foreign Military Sales (FMS), is conducting market research to determine industry capabilities and the availability of production representative Small Form Factor (SFF) Link-16 radios that are interoperable with the MIDS-Low Volume Terminal (LVT) Block Unit 2 (BU2)/MIDS Joint Tactical Radio System (JTRS) family of radios, specifically the latest versions of MIL-STD-6016 and STANAG 5516. This Request for Information (RFI) seeks to identify potential sources of low cost SFF radios that are in production, have been or are currently being developed by industry under Independent Research and Development (IRAD) efforts, or are approved to be developed in Government Programs of Record for rapid acquisition and fielding in airborne, maritime, munitions, ground, and dismounted environments.
