Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard and Intermediate Maintenance Facility (PHNSY & IMF) is seeking eligible contractors for manufacturing a certified slotted standard to detect axial and circumferential cracks when conducting the eddy current inspection of non-ferromagnetic tubing in heat exchangers on Navy ships during CNO/Non-CNO availabilities.


The Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. Government intends to solicit for manufacturing a certified slotted standard. NAVSEA INST 92541.F, paragraph 4.f.(5) states that ships listed in enclosure (1) eddy current inspection will be conducted per Appendix B of NAVSEA Technical Publication T9074-AT-GIB-010/2032, Revision 2. Appendix B, paragraph B.2.c. states, "Reference Standards. Calibration standards shall be fabricated in accordance with 4.1.6 and shall be obtained from ZETEC or another NAVSEA-approved source."


This is not a request for proposals. Any interested party that believes it is capable of meeting the requirement described herein may submit a capability statement. All capability statements received will be evaluated to determine merit. Responses must be submitted in writing no later than the time and dated noted above. Telephone responses and requests will not be received. A determination by the Government not to compete this requirement based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
