Slide Fasteners/Zippers, Berry Amendment Compliant for Military Use
This is a solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6 as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation. Offers are being requested and the solicitation will be available at the Federal Business Opportunities website. The solicitation number is CT2234-18 and this solicitation is issued as a Request for Proposals (RFP). The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-95. The North American Industry Classification System code is 339993 fastener, button, needle and pin manufacturing, the SBA small business size standard is 750 employees.
This requirement is UNRESTRICTED. UNICOR, Federal Prison Industries, Inc. intends to enter into a three (3) year firm-fixed price Requirements type contract for the following commercial items: slide fasteners/zippers for use in manufacturing Army ACU coats and ECWCS GEN III jackets (extreme cold weather clothing system). In addition, UNICOR intends to enter into a two (2) year firm-fixed price Requirements type contract for slide fasteners/zippers for use in manufacturing Army APFU jackets. The finished products are for sale to the DLA Troop Support (Defense Logistics Agency).
