Site Prep Linear Accelerator
The Bruce W. Carter VA Medical Center, Miami, Florida has a requirement for Project 546-CSI-110 to Site Prep for Linear Accelerator per the drawings and specifications provided in the future solicitation.
THIS SOLICITATION WILL BE 100% TOTAL SERVICE DISABLED VETERAN OWNED SMALL BUSINESS SET ASIDE (SDVOSB). PROPOSALS WILL ONLY BE CONSIDERED FROM SERVICE DISABLED VETERAN OWNED SMALL BUSINESSES THAT ARE VERIFIED IN VETBIZ AT THE TIME OF SUBMISSION OF PROPOSAL AND DATE OF AWARD in accordance with Public Law 109-461. This acquisition will be conducted under FAR Part 15, Lowest Price Technically Acceptable (LPTA) source selection process as a competitive Request for Proposal (RFP). Award will be made on the basis of the lowest evaluated price of proposals meeting or exceeding the acceptability standards for non-cost factors.
The NAICS code is 236220/size standard is $36.5 million. Magnitude of Construction Cost range is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000.
Project Overview:
This project requires construction services for site preparation including utilities, demolition, interior design, door, shielding and installation of a new Varian Linear Accelerator in building 1, first floor Radiation Oncology Linear Accelerator room 1B152. Work includes but is not limited to, removal and installation of existing acoustical ceiling system, existing resilient flooring, existing lighting, wall paper/protection, mold or asbestos abatement if needed, painting, coring of exterior wall pre fab panel, crane work for HVAC and demolition, provide new shielded door, and other associated work as required by the specifications and drawings.
Contractor shall be a Certified/licensed General Contractor.
Contractor and all employees must have taken the OSHA Certified 30/10 hour construction safety course and show documented proof.
100% Construction Drawings and specifications will be provided as part of this project. No deviation from the VA-issued drawings and/or specifications will be allowed without prior approval by the CO/COR.
Contractor shall perform all work specified in the provided drawings and specifications.
All construction phasing shall be approved by the COR.
Solicitation VA248-17-R-0310 will be posted to the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) website on or about 02/17/2017. All solicitation packages and amendments must be accessed on line. No Telephone requests will be accepted. All amendments issued to this solicitation will also be available at this website and will not be mailed. Offerors are advised that they are responsible for obtaining amendments. A ONE-TIME organized pre-proposal site visit will be held and the date and time will be announced in the solicitation when it is posted to FBO. No prior information is available until the date of issue. All respondents are required to be registered and verified at www.vip.vetbiz.gov and must be registered at www.SAM.gov with complete online Reps and Certs. Vets 100 Registration is also required.
