The simulator must incorporate a cab or cockpit design that incorporates steel construction with an
adjustable automotive seat, and three point seatbelt. In addition, the control computers must be
easily accessible for maintenance purposes, but concealed in an enclosed front cab.
The system is required to include three forward LCD displays, in order to provide a wide angle field
of view, and an accurate behind the wheel perspective of what it's like to look out the windshield of
an actual vehicle.
A rear-view display is required that incorporates a minimum of two wide-angle LCD's, in order to
provide an accurate rear window field of view, including the left and right blind spots, which provides
realistic training for the most common types of backing collisions, and high speed backing
maneuvers.
