Sign Shop Operations COTS System Software Implementation
The purpose of this Request for Proposal (RFP) is to solicit sealed proposals to establish a contract through competitive negotiation for the purchase of a software package including maintenance and support that automates the Central VDOT Sign Shop (CVSS) by the Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) and provides:
a commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) software package that automates CVSS
o production scheduling
o ordering
o inventory operations, audit and control
o product costing and pricing
IT systems support compatible with Virginia Information Technology Administration (VITA)
o on-site installation
o configuration
o servers and hardware
o software and hardware maintenance
o troubleshooting
Estimates for additional software services including
o training
o software upgrades
o other systems functionality as needed.
