SigmaNEST solution
DISA/DITCO is purchasing new products. PSNS and IMF requires purchase of one additional programming license for SigmaNEST Advanced Waterjet Post Processor and one additional programming license for SigmaNEST Advanced Plasma/ Punch Fabricator Post Processor. The estimated period of performance is date of award through one year.
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial service prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will be not be issued. The solicitation/reference number is N4523A17MP00293. This is a Request for Quote under FAR Part 13.5.
Puget Sound Naval Shipyard (PSNS) and Intermediate Maintenance Facility (IMF) has a requirement to procure additional proprietary, brand name SigmaNEST licenses and software support. The software is being used by other machines and the additional licenses will ensure all machines in the shop operate with the same nesting software to increase production and operational continuity for all new and existing PSNS and IMF projects. If other licenses were used, the licenses would not be able to operate within the current SigmaNEST system used by PSNS and IMF. For there to be a seamless process and for all machines to have the same licenses in the CAD and CAM nesting program, only the additional SigmaNEST licenses will meet the Government's needs for the existing SigmaNEST infrastructure. The purchase of the additional SigmaNEST licenses will allow the shipyard to continue day-to-day operations without having any break in operations. It has been determined that the brand name SigmaNEST licenses are proprietary and the products are only available from the manufacturer, SigmaTEK.
