Siemens Product Lifecycle Management (formerly CD-adapco) Software and Software License Subscription
The Army Contracting Command - New Jersey is contemplating award of a sole source firm fixed price Call Order to be placed with Siemens Product Lifecycle Management Software Inc., 5800 Granite Parkway, Ste 600 Plano, TX 75024 for the purchase of Star-CCM+ software and subscription licenses in support of Army Research, Development and Engineering Center (ARDEC). Siemens PLM Softare, Inc. is the original software developer and sole distributer of the Star-CCM+ sotware suite. Only Siemens PLM Software Inc. has the specific capability to provide software release updates and the necessary software licenses for Star-CCM+. Currently, no other existing software is technically acceptable.
A corresponding Sole Source Justification and Approval utilizing the authority FAR 13.106-1(b)(1): For purchases not exceeding the simplified acquistion threshold, only one source reasonably available, urgency, exclusive licensing agreements, brand name, or industrial mobilization has been approved and is attached to this notice.
A Letter of Contemplation for the aforementioned software license purchases and renewals was sent to Siemens Product Lifecycle Managment Software Inc. on 18 May 2017 and quote is due 25 May 2017.
