7 AF Shredder Maintenance


Part 1
General Information


1 GENERAL: This is a non-personnel services contract to provide service and maintain 2 shredders in the bulk destruction facility building 994, Osan Air Base. The Government will not exercise any supervision or control over the contract service providers performing the services herein. Such contract service providers shall be accountable solely to the Contractor who, in turn is responsible to the Government.


1.1 Description of Services/Introduction: The contractor shall provide all personnel, equipment, supplies, facilities, transportation, tools, materials, supervision, and other items and non-personal services necessary to perform service and maintain two shredders in the bulk destruction facility building 994, Osan Air Base as defined in this Performance Work Statement except for those items specified as government furnished property and services. The contractor shall perform to the standards in this contract.


1.2 Background: The 7 AF Special Security Office (7 AF/A2S) has a requirement to have a non-personal service contract, to service and maintain two shredders in the bulk destruction facility building 994, Osan Air Base. This Performance Work Statement (PWS) defines the requirement to be accomplished to provide support to 7 AF A2S, with monthly inspections and preventive maintenance of two shredders in the bulk destruction facility located in building 994.


1.3 Objectives: The primary objective of the requirement defined in the Performance Work Statement is to provide all the necessary labor, technical expertise, and minor lubricants to maintain 7 AF Special Security Office (7 AF/A2S) shredders located in the bulk destruction facility building 994.


1.4 Scope: This covers 2 shredders located in the bulk destruction facility building 994. Both shredders shall have inspections and preventive maintenance performed on a monthly basis to include physical inspection of working parts, shredder blades, lubrication of shredder blades and all other moving parts requiring lubrication. If parts are required the contractor will inform the COR. The government provides all maintenance parts for this contract.


1.4.1 Blade sharpening and adjustments shall be conducted every quarter during the first week of each quarter (DEC, MAR, JUN, SEP). The Contractor shall replace blades with spare government blades. The contractor shall sharpen blades at their location and provide back to the COR within five duty days. The contractor shall keep documented records of maintenance work and the records shall be provided to the COR within five days of service.


1.4.2 Emergency Response: Contractor shall respond within 2 duty days of notification by the COR to perform troubleshooting and required service. All maintenance work shall be accomplished during normal duty hours.


1.4.3 When government purchased parts are provided the contractor shall perform the maintenance needed within two duty days of notification by the COR. All maintenance work shall be accomplished during normal duty hours.


1.5 Period of Performance: The period of performance shall be for one (1) Base Year of 12 months and four (4) 12-month option years. The Period of Performance reads as follows:


Base Year: 26 September 2019 - 25 September 2020
Option Year I: 26 September 2020 - 25 September 2021
Option Year II: 26 September 2021 - 25 September 2022
Option Year III: 26 September 2022 - 25 September 2023
Option Year IV: 26 September 2023 - 25 September 2024
