Short Term Disability Insurance Coverage
The University wishes to obtain comprehensive short term disability insurance coverage for its regular, full-time and part-time (50% FTE or greater) faculty and staff employees. The total employee population is approximately 1,150. The services would include claims management, managed care and integration with the University’s paid sick leave program. A high level of service is required to meet the needs of the University and its employees, particularly timely claims decisions and receipts of payment. Coordination between the University’s sick leave plan with University payroll schedules and withholding for federal and state taxes is vital.
