The work consists of the following:
74' x 44'-10" concrete structure over existing two lanes of radiation portal monitor (RPM) detection systems. Excavate, form, and pour concrete foundations. Erect 20� tall cast-in-place concrete panel walls (18 inch width). Erect steel and concrete support walls between lanes. Install pre-cast ceiling panels.
This is a Small Business Set Aside.
Contractors must become pre-qualified in order to perform the work. An Experience Modification Rate (EMR) of less than or equal to 0.9 and no willful OSHA/State Labor & Industries Citations over the past three years is needed to meet the pre-qualification requirement. A form to apply for pre-qualification status is available upon request.
Mandatory pre-bidders conference is anticipated to be held March 17, 2009 at Port of Long Beach, Pier A, Long Beach, CA. The bid package will include the exact date, time and location of the conference. Bids will not be accepted from those not in attendance at the pre-bid conference.
